The Mission
Ditch Projects is an artist-run studio, installation and performance space located in downtown Springfield, Oregon. Since 2008 Ditch has featured over 70 exhibitions in our venue curating one-person exhibitions, group shows, and performances that have included over 161 artists. Ditch Projects is operated by a group of artists committed to exhibiting contemporary art that is of a critical, conceptual, and/or interdisciplinary nature. By providing opportunities for research and conceptual experimentation, Ditch Projects supports the practices of emerging and established artists from this region and beyond. Apart from being a gallery in the traditional sense, Ditch Projects has become an integral voice in the Pacific Northwest contemporary art landscape. An active agent within Oregon's cultural community, Ditch Projects provides a platform to artists producing challenging and innovative work in diverse media, cultivates a network of like-minded individuals, groups, and organizations.
What will your money fund
Ditch Projects has always been about community. We build connections amongst local, regional, and international artists and maintain the only contemporary artist-run space in the Springfield/Eugene area. Since its inception, Ditch Projects has been a month to month undertaking, with member dues covering 100% of the budget. While the model has provided creative independence, it has been, at times, very limiting. We need to raise $9,000 to help us transition into a Non Profit 501(c)(3) organization so we can continue to bring thought provoking artwork to the Pacific Northwest in a more sustainable way.

If we are able to exceed our $9,000 the additional donations would be used to help start our Non Profit 501(c)(3) organization on the right path by hiring a grant writer.

Supporting Ditch Projects Artist Run Space's fundraiser will help us take the next step toward becoming a Non Profit 501(c)(3) organization. This is a new direction for us, but we feel that our eight year history of supporting emerging and established artists from Oregon, nationally, and internationally demonstrates our readiness to take on this challenge.
